TCT Staking
TCT Staking enables individuals and organizations to lock their earned credibility behind specific projects, contributors, ecosystem actions or personal convictions. It is not yield-generating — it is a trust-weighted endorsement that puts a TRIS ID’s reputation on the line.
What Staking Enables
TCT Staking can be used to:
Back contributors, builders, or protocols
Unlock gated privileges or higher ecosystem access tiers
Validate eligibility for grants or governance influence
Trigger scrutiny via TCT Sinking
All staking is performed using tokens from the Validation Vault, ensuring that only earned credibility can be deployed at personal risk.
1. Progressive Trust Tiers (Examples)
Staking more TCT behind a project unlocks higher privileges or visibility within that ecosystem.
Tier 1
500–999
Proposal visibility, basic endorsement rights
Tier 2
1,000–4,999
Integration priority, validator eligibility
Tier 3
5,000–9,999
Ecosystem grant participation, deeper filtering power
Tier 4
10,000+
Full trust zone access, tiered feature control
Note: Each platform may customize tiers for specific integrations.
2. TCT Sinking
Sinking is the defensive mechanism within staking — allowing credible users to initiate investigations against suspicious actors by risking TCT.
How Sinking Works:
A user stakes TCT from their Validation Vault to open a challenge
The target TRIS enters a “Pending Review” state
Automated checks + moderator logic evaluate the claim
The outcome determines rewards or penalties
Violation Confirmed
Full stake returned + bonus
BAD Status assigned
No Violation Found
Stake partially or fully burned
No change
All sink actions are permanent, auditable, and versioned for accountability.
Key Staking Mechanics
Vault Used
Validation Vault only
Lock Period
Defined per integration or platform
Early Exit Penalty
Credibility deduction if unlocked prematurely
Staking Metadata
Publicly visible (staker, target, amount, purpose, timestamp)
Reputation Impact
Boosts public standing if sustained; penalized if misused or withdrawn
Use Cases
Builders staking behind community tools or dApps
DAOs vouching for new grant applicants
Platforms requiring staked trust to unlock visibility or tiered features
Users initiating Sinking to flag bad actors
TCT Staking is proof-of-conviction; active credibility, deployed with consequence.
“Precious treasure and oil are in a wise man’s dwelling, but a foolish man devours it.”
