Terms of Service

Effective Date: (To be filled at launch)

1. Introduction

1.1 Purpose

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you,” “your,” or “User”) and Tythe (“Tythe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your access to and use of all products, services, protocols, tools, smart contracts, interfaces, applications, and websites operated by Tythe (collectively, the “Services”).

Tythe operates a decentralized credibility protocol that enables individuals and organizations to build, validate, and interact with reputation-backed identities, systems, and tokens using zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs). By using any part of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1.2 Acceptance of Terms

Your use of the Services is conditional upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. If you do not agree to all provisions herein, you must immediately discontinue use of the Services.

1.3 Changes to the Terms

Tythe reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon publication. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Definitions

2.1 Key Terminology

Term
Definition

Tythe

The Credibility Operating System for the internet; a modular protocol that computes, enforces, and distributes verifiable trust at scale.

TRIS ID

Tythe’s portable identity unit. A chain-agnostic, wallet-agnostic, pseudonymous container for a user or organization’s reputation, metadata, and linked proofs.

TCT (TruCred Token)

A non-transferable, non-speculative token earned through verified actions. It powers the DISC Score and enables validation via Credonation and staking.

TYT (Tythe Token)

A governance and utility token used for activation fees (post-adoption), proposal submission, and protocol alignment.

DISC Score

The primary credibility output of the Tythe OS; a modular, impact-weighted score based on user actions, contributions, and validations.

DISC Reports (DRs)

Reports generated from DISC Score data, scoped to specific metric domains (e.g. FinDR, EduDR, BhvDR). Used for granular assessment.

Credibility Rulesets (CRs)

Modular logic interfaces that allow platforms to define and apply programmable trust tailored to their specific requirements.

Metrics

The seven modular domains of trust measured in DISC: Financial, Educational, Creative, Behavioral, Social, Security, and Compliance.

Credonation

The act of spending TCT from your Validation Vault to validate another TRIS ID. It is non-reversible and permanently linked to both identities.

Credibility Vault

A non-spendable vault where earned TCT is stored and counted toward a user’s DISC Score. Immutable.

Validation Vault

A spendable vault where 20% of earned TCT is allocated. Used to Credonate, stake, or initiate challenges.

TCT Staking

A credibility-weighted staking mechanism that allows TRIS holders to back projects, gate liquidity, or activate tiered ecosystem features.

TCT Sinking

A trust-based escalation mechanism used to open protocol investigations against suspected malicious TRIS IDs. Stakes can be rewarded or penalized based on outcome.

Trovebook

A ZK-proof hash registry where users can privately anchor offchain and onchain claims (e.g. credentials, contributions, assets) to their TRIS ID.

Decision Relay

A platform-submitted attestation of a user’s action, categorized by metric, tagged with criticality, and used to issue TCT.

External Verifications

ZK-validations from offchain sources (e.g. X, GitHub, Chainlink) anchored to TRIS IDs via Reclaim Protocol or third-party attesters.

BAD Status

A formal trust violation. TRIS IDs with BAD Status are score-suppressed, removed from indexes, and restricted from Credonation or participation.

Indices

Tythe’s three public trust registries: Cred List (recognition), Cred Watch (violation), Cred Chain (validation graph).

Organizational Ranking System

The credibility tier assigned to organizations based on TCT holdings. Replaces DISC Score for entities.

ZK-KYH / ZK-KYB / ZK-KYA

Zero-Knowledge Know Your Human / Know Your Business / Know Your Agent; privacy-preserving methods for proving uniqueness, existence, or legitimacy.

Registrant

In Tythe, a Registrant is the verified Individual or Organization that initiates and takes accountability for the onboarding of an AI Agent.

Sponsorships

Sponsorship is a TCT-backed endorsement made by a TRIS holding Individual or Organization toward an AI Agent. It represents a credibility transfer, where the sponsor vouches for the trustworthiness of the agent.

Pre-Protocol Logic

The scoring logic applied to verified contributions made before the protocol launched using Trovebook proofs or manual validation.

Post-Protocol Logic

The live scoring logic enforced by the DISC Engine, based on relays, metric tagging, and real-time TCT issuance.

2.2 Interpretation

Any ambiguity in these Terms shall not be construed against Tythe. Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.

3. Eligibility and Access

3.1 User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to access the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these criteria.

3.2 Organizational Access

Organizations must complete onboarding requirements as defined by Tythe, including ZK-KYB, wallet association, and other verification steps. Only authorized representatives may act on behalf of the organization.

3.3 Account Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your wallets, credentials, TRIS metadata, and any associated interfaces. Tythe does not manage private keys or account recovery.

3.4 AI Agent Sponsorship & Registration

AI Agents must be registered by a verified Individual or Organization (the Registrant). Their DISC Score is built through platform interactions and verified sponsorships. Tythe may limit or revoke agent functionality based on registrant credibility or agent behavior.

4. Use of the Services

4.1 TRIS ID Use

By activating a TRIS, you agree not to manipulate or misrepresent your identity or score via Sybil attacks, collusion, or deception. Use of multiple TRIS IDs to manipulate sponsorship graphs or simulate credibility inheritance is prohibited. AI Agents may not spoof, impersonate, or recycle sponsor relationships.

4.2 Trovebook Submissions

You may only submit verifiable, owned claims to your Trovebook. Fraudulent entries or unverifiable hashes may result in blacklisting or forfeiture of TCT.

4.3 TCT Accumulation

TCT is issued for legitimate, validated actions only. It cannot be purchased, sold, or transferred. Illegitimately earned TCT may be revoked or burned.

4.4 Decision Relay Integrations

Integrators are responsible for honest and relevant event reporting. Fraudulent relays may result in access restrictions. Relays tied to AI Agents must accurately reflect their actions. Tampering with relays to falsify performance may result in suspension or permanent enforcement actions.

4.5 Username Policy

TRIS usernames are permanent and non-transferable. Attempts to impersonate entities or individuals will result in disqualification and possible blacklisting.

5. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Violate any applicable law

  • Use automation to inflate scores

  • Falsify proof submissions

  • Register trademarked usernames or impersonate others

  • Misrepresent AI Agent capabilities or spoof endorsements

  • Submit falsified relays, especially in connection to automation or bot activity

  • Sponsor an AI Agent using stolen or manipulated DISC Scores

6. Privacy and Data Use

6.1 ZK-Native Design

Tythe will never request sensitive personal data. ZKP methods power all verifications.

6.2 What We Don’t Collect

Tythe does not collect identity documents, emails, IPs, or wallet private keys.

6.3 Relay Metadata

Decision relays contain only event payloads and do not expose user identities.

6.4 Third-Party Verification

When using providers like Reclaim, World ID, or Chainlink, you are subject to their privacy policies. Tythe does not retain their raw data.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Ownership

All protocol assets, branding, and software are owned by Tythe.

7.2 Licensing

By uploading data or assets to Tythe, you grant us limited rights to use it within the protocol.

7.3 No Cloning or Misrepresentation

You agree not to fork, misrepresent, or rebrand Tythe without written permission.

8. Tokens and Utility

8.1 TCT (TruCred Token)

TCT is non-transferable and earned through valid, score-relevant actions.

8.2 TYT (Tythe Token)

TYT is tradable and used for staking, TRIS activation, integrations, and governance.

8.3 Validation & Staking

TCT used via Credonation or staking is irreversible. Stakers assume protocol risk. Sponsorships (TCT sent to AI Agents) are irreversible and reputation-linked. Sponsors assume risk associated with the behavior of the agents they endorse.

8.4 Anti-Speculation

Neither TCT nor TYT may be used to game DISC Scores via holding or bribery. You may not use sponsorships, agent networks, or proxy TRIS IDs to manipulate perceived DISC Score or bypass enforcement logic.

9. Termination and Suspension

9.1 Grounds

Tythe may terminate access for violating these Terms or harming protocol credibility.

9.2 Effects

TRIS may be frozen and score progression halted. Vaults may be locked.

9.3 Suspension Logic

Suspensions may be automatic or manual. Violations are logged.
